Random and unconnected items

Wheat Crackers:

Combine:
3 cups wheat flour
1 cup white flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt

Cut in: 3/4 cup lard/margarine/butter

Beat lightly one egg in a 1 cup measure
add enough milk to fill the cup

Mix to form a ball, kneed lightly. heat overn to 425 degrees. Divide dough into 4 parts, roll out thinly, place on greesed cookie sheets, cut with pizza cutter and prick all over with fork, sprinkle with salt. Bake 7-10 minutes, store in air-tight container.

Comercial wheat thins on sale at Wegmans: 2 boxes for 5 dollars.
This recipe (the equivelant of 2 boxes): aproximately 1 dollar, and you know exactly what is in them.
